Luckland is a display company that handles design and production work for stores and commercial facilities, and installs ancillary equipment. The company is mid-tier in the display industry (see Market and value chain section for industry description), with FY12/17 revenue of JPY31.1bn. Established in 1970 to wholesale commercial refrigerators and frozen-food showcases, the company originally installed refrigeration and kitchen equipment for supermarkets and restaurants, then expanded its operations to include store interiors. In addition to designing interiors, the company installs equipment and handles building and other construction work. This expanded scope of business sets Luckland apart from the larger companies in the display industry, such as Nomura and Tanseisha.
